Skilled Independent
The subclass 189 skilled independent visa is a points tested visa which is able to be lodged by applicants with a skills assessment in an occupation on the Consolidated Skilled Occupations List 1 (CSOL / link to this list). An invitation to apply, subsequent to the provision of Expression of Interest by an applicant, is required in order to file this visa application. On visa grant this is a permanent residence visa and it is able to be granted on shore or off shore, for further information in relation to possible eligibility for this visa please contact our office.

Skilled Nominated
The subclass 190 skilled nominated visa is a points tested visa which is able to be lodged by applicants with a skills assessment in an occupation on the Consolidated Skilled Occupations List 1 or 2 (CSOL 1-2 / link to this list). State or Territory Government Sponsorship is required to obtain an invitation to apply, subsequent to the provision of Expression of Interest by an applicant. On receipt of the invitation to apply this visa application is able to be lodged. On visa grant this is a permanent residence visa and it is able to be granted on shore or off shore, for further information in relation to possible eligibility for this visa please contact our office.

Skilled Regional Sponsored
The subclass 489 skilled regional sponsored visa is a Government sponsored points tested visa which is able to be lodged by applicants with a skills assessment in an occupation on the Consolidated Skilled Occupations List 1 or 2 (CSOL 1-2 / link to this list). Government Sponsorship is required to obtain an invitation to apply, subsequent to the provision of Expression of Interest by an applicant. On receipt of the invitation to apply this visa application is able to be lodged. On visa grant this is a 4 year provisional residence visa and it is able to be granted on shore or off shore, for further information in relation to possible eligibility for this visa please contact our office.

887 Permanent Residence Visa
This is the second stage of the 489 visa and represents a popular pathway to permanent residence. For further information in relation to possible eligibility for this visa please contact our office.

Employer Sponsored
The 186 Employer Sponsored Permanent Residence Visa is available to 457 visa holders who meet specified criteria and is also available as a direct entry permanent residence visa to those skilled applicants who meet DIAC’s specified criteria.

Regional Employer Sponsored
The 187 Regional Skilled Migration Scheme Visa is for employers in rural areas seeking to attract skilled migrants to fill vacancies which they have difficulty filling locally. It is similar to the 186 visa program, however offers additional concessions to employers and applicants due to the regional nature of the program.

Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS)
The Sublcass 186 Employer Sponsored Permanent Residence Visa is available to 457 visa holders who meet specified criteria and is also available as a direct entry permanent residence visa to those skilled applicants who meet DIBP’s specified criteria. Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS)
The Subclass 187 Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme Visa is for employers in rural areas seeking to attract skilled migrants to fill vacancies which they have difficulty filling locally. It is similar to the 186 visa program, however offers additional concessions to employers and applicants due to the regional nature of the program.
